At this time of the year, réparation elv are working overtime to get all those toys ready for the good boys and girls; however, this year, Santa has run into a little problem. His countertops are stained, scratched and worn down from all of those years of building toys. There are giant cracks in the surface which constantly catches the tiny elves’ clothing as they work and Mrs. Claus is tired of sewing up little green tunics. Even Rudolph won’t go near them! There in fact could not be a Christmas this year if Santa doesn’t renovate the countertops in the elves’ workshop. Santa’s in a mess and the only thing that will save him is new granite countertops.
Busy as an Elf
Sure, the elves are messy. Their workshop may be cluttered, particularly around the holiday season, but they always clean up the saw dust by New Year’s Eve. However, they do have standards. Year after year of hammering and drilling and painting has left the elves’ workshop in a dire state of repair, and even though they complain after each Christmas, they are still left with the cracked, warped and stained countertops. It’s enough to drive an elf to protest!
But this year, Santa has got it covered, literally. After last year’s elf revolt, Santa did a little research on countertops and found a great alternative: granite countertops. Unbeknownst to the elves, Santa did a little Christmas shopping for them and had granite countertops installed. Now the workshop looks brand new!
Why Granite?
Santa could have anything he wants; he is the jolly fat man after all, but after seeing the sad state the elves’ workshop had fallen, Santa knew that there had to be a better, more durable material out there, a material that would look nice but be resilient to the fury of elves building toys all year round. He thought perhaps plastic would do the trick, but he soon realized that plastic melted easily. He thought about paper, but that would hold up at all. He tried wood, dirt, and pretty much anything else he could, until he finally found granite. Granite countertops are one of the most durable, resilient materials out there, and when the elves saw their new workshop, with newly installed granite countertops, they rejoice before quickly getting back to work.
