If you have always been a PC user, and have recently changed to a Macintosh computer. Then you know that new Computer Software Installation can be a bit confusing. The difficult part about installing programs onto a Mac is that most of the applications need to be manually placed into the correct folder for it to be installed correctly.
To start, turn on your Mac computer by the using the power button. This is usually located on the back of the computer screen, on the left-hand side at the bottom. If you find that you don’t have a disc and you wish to download an application. You can always download for free one of the many applications from the Internet. When you have, downloaded your application ensure that you have downloaded it to your desktop. Because you will have to drag and drop it into the destination file when installing. To move the application, click and drag the program to the destination folder, and then release the mouse when done.
Next open the Finder application, which is normally located at the bottom of your left hand screen either on your tool bar, or your desktop. Then click on the applications folder, which is located under the heading Places on the left-hand side of the pop up window. Drag the file and drop it into the Applications folder. Once this step has been complete, the computer software will now be properly install. If this is a computer software that you plan to use regularly. Having it on your systems dock/tool bar may be beneficial. What you need to do is drag this file onto the systems dock/tool bar at the bottom of your screen, allowing you to access the program. When you need to use the program, just click on it.
